This David Bowie poster puts you right in the crowd at the Frankfurt Festhalle in 1978, shot by photographer and fan Klaus Hiltscher. Bowie is caught mid-song, microphone in hand and picked out by the stage lights while everything behind him falls away into black. A soft cream border and simple 1978 and DAVID BOWIE lettering keep it clean.
By the late seventies Bowie had left the glitter of Ziggy Stardust behind for something sharper and cooler. This was the era of Low and "Heroes", the records he made with Brian Eno during his Berlin years, and he took that sound out on the road. There's a calm, focused feel to this shot that suits that period of his music perfectly.
Available as a poster or a framed print, it brings some late-seventies cool to a living room, hallway, studio or record corner, and sits nicely alongside other black and white music prints. A great gift for a lifelong Bowie fan, a vinyl collector or anyone who likes their walls with a bit of attitude.
